received her diploma (MA-equivalent) in Social Sciences from the University of Mannheim, Germany in 2009. She was a PhD fellow of the Research Training Group SOCLIFE at the University of Cologne, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Since 2013, she has also been a guest researcher at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin). She received her Ph.D. for her dissertation on: „The Time of Family Formation – An Examination of Selected Mechanisms Influencing Childbirth and Breastfeeding“. Anja Oppermann joined the iFQ in August 2014.
