Jian Wang(Researcher) is pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Public Policy at the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA). At the Georgia Institute of Technology he worked, amongst others, in projects on social sciences bibliometrics, models of international collaboration and name disambiguation. His dissertation looks at the relationship between collaboration and productivity, in particular how collaboration network structure affects productivity by using functional data analysis methods. Jian Wang has a bachelor degree in Journalism and a masters degree in Applied Economics both from Tsinghua University, China, as well as a masters degree in Statistics to be awarded this summer from Georgia Institute of Technology. He joined the iFQ in May 2011.
