Dr. Alexandra Kraatz(Researcher) studied Southeast Asian Studies, Economics, Anthropology and Indonesian at the University of Bonn, the University of Oregon in Eugene (USA), the Universitas Sebelas Maret in Bangi (Malaysia) and the Universitas Sebelas Maret in Solo (Indonesia). She absolved internships in pharmaceutical companies in Bangkok (Thailand) and Singapur and worked from 2003 to 2005 at the University of Heidelberg at the Institute for Religious Studies and for the Collaborative Research Center (Sonderforschungsbereich) „Ritual dynamics“. In 2006 and 2007, she taught at the Institute of Oriental and Asian Studies (IOA) at the University of Bonn on “Society and Religion in Southeast Asia”. She finished her PhD in Comparative Religion in 2009. From July 2009 until June 2010 AK conducted a Post-doc project on "social and relgious dynamics of Hindu migrants in with special respect to gender aspects" in Indonesia and she taught at the local univestities Unsrat (Universitas Sam Ratulangi) and UKIT (Universitas Kristen Indonesia Tomohon). She joined the iFQ in November 2010.
